A success for UNIEP – a new Erasmus + project approved!

The Erasmus Agency of Luxembourg, ANEFORE, has just selected the DIGI-PAINT project, submitted by Uniep last May.

With this project, and based on a crucial need of the sector, UNIEP wants to create digital tailor-made solutions adapted to the painting and decorating educators to give them the resources and tools to overcome the current and future challenges. Among the different activities foreseen by the project, a resources’ database will be conceived with painting contents to overcome the lack of presential situation due to Covid crisis.

Furthermore, to support the work-based learning periods, in case it will occur in a virtual way, several real-life situations and practical cases will be designed. Starting from the pedagogical competences needed, the project will firstly set up a virtual training. Pedagogical guidelines will be designed for some digital tutorials and teachers’ booklets in fact sheets form to be validated by the educators and the VET providers.

The Interactive Real-life situations to work based learning periods will follow, with the purpose to concretise 6 Virtual Real-life situations to explain ULOs of the Painter and Varnisher qualification in digital context to tutors in companies and to apprentices, to overcome the lack of face-to-face learning period in companies. The intention is to encourage educators to document and develop their ability to teach using digital tools.

The starting point is their own teaching activities to move forward to the digital context. In order to gather educators from all over Europe, a Hub for Teachers, Trainers and in-company Tutors will be created and will serve as exchanging reference pivot and validation of project’s results.

DIGI-PAINT will be implemented in 22 months as the profession sees the urgency on finding solutions in the sector training, in times where the online is the modality of training delivery. Let’s start working for the future of our profession!
